I also wanted to let everyone know that I have re-designed my website, again. I know, but I just can't get something that I love. That is the problem with designing your own, I guess. However, I am making progress to LOVING it! I have the background all done, but I still need to put up a lot of my content.
Keep checking it our for updates!

Blogging
Right now I am working on incorporating all clients' blogs into their own websites. This actually helps rank their pages higher in Search Engines, like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. It is quite a process to set-up, let alone customize, so it will take me a while to complete the process for all of the sites.
I just wanted everyone to know so that if they can't get ahold of me right away, don't panic! I am just busy coding. . . . and since blogging is the new thing, of course I didn't learn about it in school. I am slowly teaching myself the tricks and shortcuts. So, sorry, but I can't seem to hear the phone or remember to check my emails; it might interrupt the thinking process! Good luck trying to get ahold of me! :) I'll let you know when I make it out the other side of the tunnel... or should I say cave?

Pumpkin Planet
My youngest brother is a Senior in high school in a small community, and he is so smart and clever! Both him and his best friend decided that they wanted to make some money doing what they enjoyed the most. . . .farming! So they have started their own business selling pumpkins every fall. They have a pumpkin patch and everything! Here is their logo:

The PotatoPurse: true gunny sack style
Like I said in my last post, I have been behind on my blog. I never got around to posting anything for my friend Marijke, who owns Crystelle Handbags. She has had quite a successful start with her new handbag and purse business-you have to check out her four different PotatoPurse designs. . . . once you see them I guarantee you will want one, if not all, of them! They make a great gift for someone you know, or for yourself! I already know a few people who have purchased them as their IDAHO souvenir, which I think is FOR SURE one of the best souvenirs you could get to represent the meaning and history of IDAHO.

The Ginny: This was actually the first PotatoPurse I saw, and I LOVED it! I had to get my hands on it-and I am so glad that I did! It doesn't matter where I go, there are always compliments on this purse and people ask where I got it. Of course I am proud to tell them-Here in Idaho!

The Veneta PotatoPurse: This bag has a lot of pockets that are on the outside of the bag, which makes it quick to grab out your keys or cell phone or lip gloss. OR. . . . this bag would make a great diaper bag!

The Virginia PotatoPurse: This bag is great: it holds more than your average purse, however, it is still small enough for conveniently carrying it on your shoulder. It also has a lot of small pockets on the inside-GREAT for keeping you organized!

The Sharla PotatoPurse: This bag holds EVERYTHING you could want to carry around with you, but it has a convenient snap that "folds" the bag up so it isn't bulky while you are carrying it on your shoulder.
You have to check out her website-she has more designs there, and I know she has more designs being created!

Piggies and Pinkies

So I have been way behind on my blog since I have been working on a new website for a client. It is in the final stages, but I figured I had better post a link now before I get too busy again!
This lady does hand and foot impressions, mostly for infants and newborns, but she also does hands for engaged couples! If you are into that sort of thing, she is good at what she does.
Also, she is a representative for ViaCord: Cord Blood Banking & Research. There are some pretty interesting news articles about the subject and research done on it. If you are getting ready to have a baby, you might want to check into this.
Here's her site: www.piggiesandpinkies.com
And P.S. Tell me what you think! :)

A New Name & Logo
Now that it is 2009 and I have been doing graphic design for five years, I figured it was long overdue to get myself in gear and create a new logo for my business. When I started designing in college, I went by the name Design Grafix, but I never loved it enough to keep the name. I have been the "shoemaker without his own pair of shoes" for quite some time now-it seems like every chance I have had to sit down and work on my own logo, a project has come up for someone else-and OBVIOUSLY that was more important!
Well, I am here to say that I FINALLY have chosen
my new name: I.D. Grafix!
